The Story of Your Business

as a Christmas Tree - Part II

In the spirit of the season, I’ve put together a visual representation of the layers that combine to create the story of your business with a Christmas Tree theme. Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing one branch at a time as we ascend through the ever-more-descriptive levels of content that make up the entirety of your business’ story. How far up the “tree” does your business’ story go? How can it reach greater heights of personality and authenticity to pique customers' interest?

I invite you to join my email list so you can learn more about an exciting opportunity to unearth, claim and proclaim your business’ story coming early in 2024.

We began yesterday with the lowest branch where the decorations blend in with the tree itself; there’s information there, but it doesn’t stand out and immediately capture the viewer's interest and invite them to delve deeper into your story. They might include your business name and tagline, your name and title, where you can be reached and your hours of operation.

Today we've added the next level to the tree which includes the broad details that tell a bit more about your business. They still don't pop and sparkle, but they do provide a little more that distinguishes your business from others. When combined with the basic facts from the bottom branch, they provide a clearer picture of your business, perhaps describing the types of products and services you deliver - the how you serve customers - and why you choose to do what you do.

As you can see, the tree is far from complete... and, at this point, so is the story of your business. Stay tuned over the next few days as we ascend the tree and discover more ways to unearth the authentic, compelling, resonating story that is your business' alone.
